He is a great creator who can paint the events of today’s society. His name is Al Margen. Margen from Buenos Aires, Argentina has created incredible drawings pinpointing the faults of modern society. His ability to incorporate different aspects of society into his painting is excellent.
This is how he describes his creations.
There are drawings that are born on the sidelines.
Born almost unintentionally. They are born on the side, outside of what is important. They are born not to please or be seen. They are born not to be finished. They live with erasures and do not even deserve the effort of being erased.
So, they are children of boredom, nonconformity, or anger. They are the unwanted children of the pencil. They are just sketches of something that could have been better but was abandoned. They are an unfulfilled promise, a truncated project. They are the representation of discarded ideas. They are the garbage of the subconscious.
But they are more visceral and sincere than other drawings because they do not have the obligation to please. Because they were born not to be seen. Because they were born without aesthetics. Because they were born only from an impulse and nothing more. Because they were born to annoy since they show the imperfect.
But they don’t care.
And they don’t care because they live on the sidelines.
